Shia LaBeouf Criticizes His Own Movies

By Katrina Robinson

Actor Shia LaBeouf, of Transformers  fame, was recently quoted badmouthing one of the films that he, himself, worked on. According to the LA Times, LaBeouf stated, regarding the 2008 movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, “I feel like I dropped the ball on the legacy that people loved.” The actor went on to say that he thought his action-packed performance was unconvincing. “The actor’s job is to make it come alive and make it work, and I couldn’t do it. So that’s my fault. Simple.”Well, at least he’s accepting blame for giving a less-than-stellar performance. But then he went on to say that Harrison Ford agreed with his opinion regarding the film. And he doesn’t mean this as an insult to director Steven Spielberg. He states, “I’ll probably get a call, but he needs to hear this. I love him. He’s done so much great work that there’s no need for him to feel vulnerable about one film. But when you drop the ball, you drop the ball.”It’s rare that someone in the entertainment industry actually accepts the blame for a job not well done. So, for that, I give Shia major kudos.

  1. wow, i wonder what steven would say to that
